Araby

The story Araby by James Joyce before reading this story the title I had no idea what it means or what the story will be about after reading the story it very romantic especially the way the boy wanted to get a gift for the girl he went all out to do his best.He was just having all these romantic thoughts.I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes love story it very exciting.

Fences

The story fences by August Wilson before reading this story I thought that this story will talk about the fence cause of the title but it's much more than that it very exciting,keeps you going you want to continue to read to see what happens next it's very competitive everyone fighting to win something.I would definitely recommend this to a friend cause it's very interesting and keeps you going also shows you to never back down on any fight.

Strong

The story Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne before reading this story I thought it was going to talk about Mr Brown being a good which indeed that's what the story was about.In the story Mr Brown was very good and he believe in God.He was very scared of the evil and devils out there and was afraid if his wife was being distractive by the evil he loved his wife and wanted her to follow God.I would definitely recommend this story to a friend because Mr Brown shows how no matter how distracted he could have been he kept to his belief.

Cathedral

The story Cathedral by the author Raymond Carver before reading this story I thought the narrator will describe a church or talk about God because when you hear the word Cathedral what comes to mind?For me, church came to my mind.This story was definitely very entertaining especially when the narrator was little unhappy Robert his wife old friend was coming to visit he didn't like it.What I like the most is that the author realize on his own that he has nothing to worry about when Robert made him close his eyes he finally overcome Robert being there.I would definitely recommend this to someone it's nice story and makes you realize certain things that was hidden.

No limits

Oedipus The king by the author Sophocles before reading I thought this story was going to be about kingdom and owner of land and people fighting to be king.So exactly was I expected from this story that's what it's about almost exactly what I thought,in this story the character would do anything to become king and kill anyone to become the king also what I don't like about this story is the killing part to get what you want kill others.it's kind of scary to do so or think about it.This story is kind of sad especially the way Oedipus was brought up.I wouldn't really recommend this story to anyone cause it's very scary and creepy

River

The poem Ask Me by William Stafford was totally nothing I expected before reading it.I thought it was just going to be an ordinary poem in which the author tells you about more poetry than reality,but in this poem the author is mostly sharing his perosnal feeling and what happen in his life his passpt experience.I would definitely recommend this poem to someone because it is very interested and every has a meaning we can definitely relate to those lines.

Reality

The Storm by Kate Chopin before reading this story I thought that the title has alot to do with the story and indeed so.What I like the most about this story is that it shows you how a storm can pass by and hit you and goes back to normal meaning someone can have a fantasy but eventually will realize what is reality.I would recommend this story because it reminds us not to get carried away by distractions because when it's all over we are back to reality.

Blue eye

The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe.Before reading this short story I thought the narrator was going talk about his experience with the old man.What I didnnt like about this story is that the narrator was obsessed with the old man's eye I think this was scary and I wouldn't recommend this story to someone because it's bit weird and scary.

Lost in the wall

The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman before reading this short story I thought that this story was about the color of the wall or maybe someone is obsessed with the wall being yellow.What I like the most about this story is that at the end the pose stand up for herself and tell her off husband off and he felt shock now she is in controlled.She was finally free and didnt depend on her husband.I would definitely recommend this short story to a friend because it explains how important it is to stand up for yourself.

Full of love

A Rose For Emily by William Faulkner I thought this story was about the rose only because the title says a rose for Emily I didn't think this story would be so interesting.What I like the most in this story is how Faulkner express love in this story.I would definitely recommend someone to read this short story it's very entertaining and creative.
